You must pay any fines before library cards will be issued. There is a $1.50 replacement fee for lost cards. First cards are free.
Get your library card on the same day as you sign up!
Our computer identifies you by the bar code on your library card, if you don’t have it we can look you up by name or number. However, it is more helpful if you have it and it is up to date.
The check-out time for most items is 2 weeks.
Videos have a 1 week check-out time.
Items are due back before close on the due date.

Patrons are limited to 4 items per person on a family card. Videos and magazines are included. Children, unless they have parental permission, cannot check out anything with an R rating. This is also true of the adult section of fiction; children must have parental permission to check out books in this section.
Overdue books are not fined. However, because they are high demand items, videos will have a $1.00 a day fine up to the cost of the video. Persons with overdue items, fines and or damages will not be permitted to check out library materials until the amount owed is paid. We do accept phone renewals unless item is more than a week overdue, than the fines will have to be paid first.
Damages to library materials will be assessed in the following manner: if completely destroyed or unusable, replacement costs will be charged. If materials are slightly damaged, one-fourth the replacement cost, or a minimum of $2.50 will be charged.
If a book is designated lost, replacement costs will be charged.

We have several computers for patron use. These computers serve a wide range of patrons and after school usage is generally hectic. We do not reserve computer time, and usage is limited to one hour one time a day for all patrons, with no exceptions.
A library card is not necessary for computer usage. However, you must check in at the circulation desk for a time card. If you have fines or overdues, you will not be granted access until problems are resolved.

Internet Usage and Filtering
All internet-capable computers are filtered. Among other things, this system restricts access to inappropriate websites, as well as popular social networking sites. Filtering is done in accordance with relevant legislation for the protection of all library users. Children using our computers must have a signed Internet Permission Agreement on file with the library. Anyone accessing questionable sites will lose internet privileges.

The McAninch Room at the library is available for public use for meetings and programs of educational, cultural and civic purposes free of charge.
The group making the reservation will be responsible for setting up the room, maintaining the room in a clean and orderly manner, removing trash, and returning tables and chairs to their original arrangement. The group will assume responsibility for any damage to the library and its contents caused by any group member or program attendee.
Group Representative Responsibilities
If the meeting room is to be used after library hours, the group representative will be responsible for securing the building. Tobacco products, drugs, and alcoholic beverages will not be permitted. Flammable materials of any kind will be strictly prohibited. Interpretation of this policy will be at library director’s discretion.

Reservations for the meeting room must be made with a library staff member a minimum of 24 hours prior to room usage.
Persons under 18 years of age may not reserve the meeting room. One adult for every eight persons under 18 must sponsor activities for minors.
Should scheduling conflicts occur, library programs and activities will be given priority. No library program will be planned for a reserved date and time after a reservation has been confirmed.
The meeting room will not be reserved for commercial purposes, excepting any commercial purpose which is merely ancillary to the main purpose of the public, educational, governmental, or charitable event or use or speech or program.
The capacity of the whole library is about 100 persons, so the number of person using the meeting room shall not exceed 40 persons.
Groups may use our kitchenette to serve light refreshments. Groups must supply their own food, drink, and paper products, such as cups, plates, napkins, and tableware.
